Kasai Ranchā (火災ランチャー) Grenade Rifle is a 30mm, long range grenade launcher. Adopted by the Army of the Astro Federation in 2174, it fulfills the need to offer moderate, mid-range fire support to infantry. It uses a special grenade, using more propellent then usual, thus giving it more range but with greater recoil. Using a fire round magazine, the Kasai Ranchā offers more range and has more rounds then the Ceres Grenade Launcher. While meant to replace the Ceres, the cost of the Kasai Ranchā special grenades and the outbreak of the Great War (2201-2222) meant that it was rarely issued outside of special ops units. Nicknamed the "Bad Day".
