Description

To fix the flaws in some of these weapons and display the weaponry of the Russian Union thus far.

Avtomaticheskaya Vintovka means automatic rifle in Russian. Used heavily by the Russian Union, it is an easily modifiable rifle, making it the staple of the Russian war machine. It is a very simple weapon to produce, and its internal workings and tight rifling help cause the rifle's high stopping power and semi-auto accuracy, but in full auto its difficult to control the recoil. It has a high rate of fire at 1000 rpm. It is frequently seen across the Contested Fields and on the Vistula Fortress Line. Due to the vast numbers of these rifles produced, it is not uncommon for it to be issued to entire divisions outside the Russian Union, notably the German-Polish Reich and the Scandinavian Union who both face constant invasions by the Russian Union. The AV's unique front sight alsoriflescopes as the sights for a grenade launcher, mostly the GP-50. Introduced in 2014 to replace the Kalashnikov series of rifles, the AV-97 has seen widespread use thoughout the world. Designed by Colonel-General Vladislav Maximovich Yashin since 1997, the Russian military was quickly impressed by the weapon. In 2015, they used units armed with these new rifles to stage a coup, replacing the Russian Federation with the militant Russian Union. With the USA collapsing along with NATO, the Russian Union used this weakness to invade Europe. While the AV-97 was highly effective, allowing the Russian military to conquer most of eastern Poland, the Baltics, half the Ukraine, and most of Finland. Belarus was spared, having joined the Union a few months earlier. Eventually the Russians were driven back to their current border, but Europe was changed forever.

The AV-97 is the most standard variant of these weapons. Developed to replace the AK's, the AV-97 has been widely praised for its stopping power. Uses the 7.62x39mm round.

The AV-98 was introduced to use the 5.45x39mm rounds used by the AK-74. Not as widely seen as the 97.

Used almost extensively by the elite Streltsy Guards, the AV-99 is chambered for the 7.62x54mmR. It is also used by snipers.

The AV-100 is chambered for the 5.56x45mm NATO round found in the M-16 and its derivatives. While not widely seen in Russian service, it is widely used by troops in the Scandinavian Union who have converted it to use local rounds. The Russian War Ministry nonetheless gave it this designation.

The AV-101 uses the 7.62x51mm NATO round. Widely used by the Russian Army and the German-Polish Reich for snipers and platoon commanders. Used in the Russian military due to it having great stopping power, and is slightly more easy to control then the AV-99.

AV-102 is chambered for the .50 BMG. A sniper rifle, the AV-102 is single shot, yet uses a 5 round mag. The weapon's operator has to manually extract the casing from its undersized ejector port. Commonly titled the "Oprichnina".

Designed in 2035 for Russian soldiers in Europe, the AR-12 is a semi-automatic, 12-gague shotgun based of the successful AV series of rifles. To allow for the shells to be used the bolt size was increased. To reduce recoil, the barrel's tight rifling was removed and made smoothbore. While it is a semi-auto shotgun, many soldiers have modified them to be fully automatic. These modified veriants are labeled AR-12a. The AR-12 first saw service against the German-Polish Reich on the Vistula Fortress Line. The AR-12 proved a reliable weapon. It was used to great effect clearing out trenches and bunkers. The AR means Automatic Shotgun in Russian.

Introduced in 2034 to supply the vast amounts of Russian soldiers in Europe, the K34 is a cheaper alternative to the standard AV-97 assault rifle. A cheap and very inaccurate weapon, the K34 makes up for its inaccuracy by rate of fire (1000rpm) and numbers. Being the main weapon of fresh conscripts, the K34 sees wide use in the first waves of an invasion.

Designed by Colonel-General Vladislav Maximovich Yashin in 2026 to supply Russian soldiers in Europe, the RPYa-27 is main LMG of the Russian military. Many Russian vehicles use a mounted version of this weapon. Like most Russian machine guns, the RPYa feeds on the right and ejects to the left. The RPYa has a bipod. Mainly based of the AV-97 assault rifle, the RPYa-27 is belt fed, uses the 7.62x54mmR rifle round, and has a different rear sight and stock. Originally using the same pistol grip as the AV-97, the RPYa's grip was change in 2031 to its current one. The RPYa-27 means Light Machine Gun Yashin-27, or Ruchnoy Pulemyot Yashin-27 in Russian (ручной пулемёт Яшин-27).

Avtomaticheskaya Pistolet, meaning automatic pistol. While more a carbine then a pistol, the AP-9 was chambered for the 7.62x39mm round used in the AV-97 assault rifle to ease logistics. The stopping power, range, and durability make the AP-9 a highly praised weapon. The drawbacks of the weapon are its sights (the weapon is fairly accurate, it lacks the sights to aim properly) and recoil. While most AP-9’s are semi-automatic, many officers have found the AP to be relatively easy to modify. A few AP-9 have been purpose built for special forces, using a fore grip and select fire, called the APP-9 (Avtomaticheskaya Pistolet-Pulemyot, or Automatic Machine Pistol). The AP-9 is frequently issued to political commissars attached to units near the Vistula Fortress Line and the Contested Fields (an area of land covering most of western Poland, the Baltic States, northern Romania, eastern Belarus and eastern Ukraine). These frontier lands are frequently fought over by the Russian Union and the German-Polish Reich.

The Avtomaticheskaya Pistolet-Pulemyot-9, or Automatic Machine Pistol-9, is an automatic carbine popular with Russian Union forces. A variant of the AP-9 Officer's Pistol, the APP-9 is fully automatic. To help control recoil, a fixed fore grip was added. While not as powerful as an AV-97, the APP-9 is best suited for fighting in confined spaces. For this reason, it is highly popular with mechanized and armored troops. Its compact size and folding stock also make it well suited with airborne troops.

Shouldn't the AV-102 use 12.7x108mm rounds instead of the NATO equivalent? Or alternatively it could go as far as using 14.5x114mm rounds
