Ceres M2 7.62x54mmR Minigun

Developed during the Great War in 2209, by the Astro Federation's Ceres Arms Company to order to combat the high rate of fire D98k and provide support to infantry. The solution became the Ceres M2 7.62x54mm Minigun. Issued en masse, it struck fear into the minds of the Red Alliance soldiers. The strange thing about the Ceres is that it can load belts of ammo on either the left or right side of the feed system, ejecting spent rounds out the opposite side. The main draw back is that the Ceres needs an external power supply, so during the Great War, many troops taped large batteries to the outside of the weapon.
