Callisto Battle Rifle

A 7.62x51mm NATO select-fire battle rifle, this is the iconic weapon of the Callistoan Home Guards and the Jovian Republican Guards. Introduced in 2139 to replace the Republic of Jupiter's Army's aging supplies of G3's, the Callisto was instead adopted by the elite fighting forces of the Republic. During the Great War, the Callisto was put into mass production for regular military use, the rifle was highly praised in urban warfare. During and after the war, many of Jupiter's allies began using many of these rifles.
