Ak-47 Carbine, 'Katyusha'

Built in 1967 by the Izhevsk Machinebuilding Plant in the former Soviet Union for use by Sgt. Major Dimitri Medvev. It kept the same 7.62x39mm as the standard AK-47 and about as accurate as one despite its short barrel length. Part of a pair, "Katusha" and "Natasha", "Katusha" was built using many modified parts to create the shorten AK. Used during the Soviet war in Afghanistan, they eventually found there way into the hands of Azrael Scythewind, were he used them as side arms in the Great War.
