APP-9 by tylero79 APP-9 by tylero79
The Avtomaticheskaya Pistolet-Pulemyot-9, or Automatic Machine Pistol-9, is an automatic carbine popular with Russian Union forces. A variant of the AP-9 Officer's Pistol, the APP-9 is fully automatic. To help control recoil, a fixed fore grip was added. While not as powerful as an AV-97, the APP-9 is best suited for fighting in confined spaces. For this reason, it is highly popular with mechanized and armored troops. Its compact size and folding stock also make it well suited with airborne troops.

Nice design, reminds me of the L22A1, maybe making it bullpup configuration would solve the mentioned magazine issues ~

You do realize that the grip placement makes it impossible to reload, right?

How so? The fore grip is spaced just far enough for it to be reloaded and is removable.

You seem to be forgetting that AK mags need to be twisted to the front so that they can be ejected. In fact, it's a pretty common mistake. It's why AK foregrips are usually quite far ahead or angled toward the front instead of the back.

That is, unless you've derived a way to use AK mags like STANAGs. But that would require a magwell, and I see no such contraption here.

(Case in point: I made the same mistake once before, but mine was slightly forgivable since the foregrip wasn't THAT close and it was also a bipod/grip combination)

I see. Then in that case the fore grip would need to be removable, or at the very least adjustable. And this does take place in the future, it could be possible to modify the mags or the magwell. I do see your point and any input is valued for future use.
